Where We’ll Improve

As business leaders, PledgeLA members recognize that diversity is one of LA’s greatest, untapped resources. 73% of Angelenos identify as a person of color, making ours one of the most diverse regions in the nation. Studies show that diversity increases a company’s bottom-line, enhances culture, and opens doors to undiscovered business possibilities. EDI is both a smart business decision and the right thing to do. As one of the four major industries in LA’s economy, we recognize the enormous opportunity our exploding tech industry has to ensure that all Angelenos contribute to the future of our region.

For these reasons, PledgeLA members commit to increasing equity, diversity and inclusion in their organizations and investment decisions. This means that we prioritize equity in who becomes the tech industry’s future decision makers, who gets opportunities to innovate and whose voices get heard.

PledgeLA members receive support in finding diverse talent and deepening practices of equity and inclusion within their organizations. We recognize that representing the creativity and diversity of Los Angeles means that women, people of color, veterans, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+Angelenos, and other marginalized groups are at the table, co-creating the future of our innovation economy.
